Job Title: Contract Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer
Location: London, UK
Salary: £41 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.
- Analyze and improve process and packing machinery performance to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Develop and execute strategic improvement plans aligned with business objectives.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement best practices.
- Use data analysis and KPI tracking to measure process improvements.
- Identify automation opportunities to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide training and coaching to staff on CI methodologies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food industry regulations.
Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer in the food industry or FMCG.
Strong background in process and packing machinery optimization.
Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
Hands-on experience with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
Experience with automation and digital transformation in food processing.
Knowledge of PLC systems and factory automation.
