About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled PV Commissioning Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the successful commissioning of solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that photovoltaic (PV) installations are fully operational, meet quality and performance standards, and comply with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commissioning of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis to verify functionality.
- Work closely with design, installation, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.
- Perform on-site inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Document and report commissioning results, including system performance data.
- Provide technical support and training to installation teams.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and risk assessments.
Requirements:
Experience in commissioning solar PV systems (commercial & utility-scale preferred).
Strong knowledge of electrical and solar PV systems, inverters, and grid connections.
Relevant engineering qualifications (electrical, renewable energy, or similar field).
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Understanding of G99, G100, and BS 7671 wiring regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Full UK driving license (site visits may be required).
