About the Role
We are seeking a talented and analytical Risk Analyst to join a leading energy organization in London. Key Responsibilities
Risk Identification & Analysis:
Analyze financial, market, and operational risks in the energy sector.
Monitor commodity price fluctuations, regulatory changes, and market trends to assess impact on business performance.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date risk documentation and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Model Development:
Develop and maintain risk models to evaluate exposure and simulate scenarios.
Support portfolio risk assessment through advanced quantitative analysis.
Collaboration & Advisory:
Work closely with trading, finance, and compliance teams to provide actionable insights.
Advise senior management on risk mitigation strategies and emerging market trends.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proven experience in risk analysis within the energy or commodities sector.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python.
Excellent understanding of financial instruments and derivatives used in the energy market.
Ability to interpret large datasets and present insights clearly to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of energy market regulations and risk management frameworks.
